This 6,500 SF contemporary home on San Marino Island included over 2,700 SF of impact-rated glazing, combining Trulite 3100 Series fixed windows with Fleetwood sliding glass doors. Despite its relatively modest size, the project required significant detailing coordination due to the architectural complexity of the structure.

A key challenge was integrating the glazing with a combination of exposed steel I-beams and 4" deep flat ledger stone cladding throughout the exterior. These conditions demanded custom triple 2x bucking, engineered and certified to support the anchoring and wind-load requirements of the glazing system

This was one of those projects where the architectural expression pushed the limits of traditional detailing. Close coordination with the entire team was critical at every step to deliver this stunning residence.
