Private Estate

Grand Bahama – 2016

My firm was brought in to replace $500K worth of failing European windows on the main house of this multi-building estate in the Bahamas, and to supply new glazing for four additional structures across the property.

The project involved multiple trips for field measurements, façade redesign, and on-site installation support. The front elevation of the two-story main house presented complex challenges — including stacked sliding doors, steel support integration, and compliance with Miami-Dade structural requirements.

To maintain minimal sightlines while supporting the upper-level sliding doors (used as windows), Working with my fenestration engineer, I designed a custom 1" thick steel L-angle system, allowing us to reduce the upper steel profile while using 3" steel on the lower spans. Fleetwood Windows & Doors served as the primary manufacturer, with over $750K in total glazing.
